Manic Monday Moods

Relationships are by fast the most complicated aspect of life. Giving yourself freely to a person is not an easy task. Having to take in account someone elses feelings and sometimes putting yours aside to avoid conflit makes even the sweet iest person on earth a little flustered.

But isnt it great how we have God on our side. He has our back. And with Him we can always do whats right.

http://bible.us/Col3.17.KJV And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Lord help us to not have a manic Monday as we rush to get our day and work we started. God please give us a loving heart. We thank you for wanting to see that we do good deeds to others. And we want to please you. Amen.

its been a long time.

Its been a long minute since the last post. My life has been filled with great beautiful moments. And some less unhappy ones. All and all life has been good.
Well as you know I had my beautiful baby boy.
 Enrolled back into school.
 Got a part time job.
All while still trying to crochet.
I recently started attending church again. OMG I feel so much better for it. I know in my heart that I had to put God first in order for the rest of my life to fall into order. I have never been happier. The lion cub was also dedicated to the church and I was baptized.  Pictures are coming soon.
I realise that there are a lot of areas in my life I need to work on. Things are not going to be fixed over night but I know that in time things will get better.

I love watching the lion cub grow.
I think he is going to walk before Christmas. That would be the most awesome Christmas gift ever.
He is so amazingly smart. Yesterday he was drinking out of my cup. I caught drinking water. I got to get better at having the camera ready for these moments.

Until next time be sweet.

Losing my mind with a few other things

Yesterday I thought I lost my mind along with a few other things. Over the weekend I managed to lost my wallet, textbook, and my some butt paste oh and my DH's cell phone. On top of that dh is sick. I really hate when men are sick. Its like the END of the world. Seriously.  He becomes incapable of completing any task. And some how he turns into a giant sick crappy 3 year old child. I would like to think that I am a empathic person. I am but I have limits.  I also like to think that I am the queen of the world.
I started school! Yea! Its not that bad. I am going to stay positive. So far my biggest challenge is remembering to wake up early to do a little studying. Because trying to study with a 5 month old is a joke. I tried reading out loud. That worked for a little while. The little lion cub pounced on top of my book and began to nipple on the pages. I find myself repeating often when we read books BOOKS ARE FOR READING SON NOT FOR EATING. I think I might crossstitch that phrase near our bookcase.
My dh found my book and his cell phone. He went out and picked up a new tube of butt paste. I think I'll keep him, he is pretty great most of the time. So I made sure to take extra care of my giant 3 year old. I made him chicken soup and a hot cup of tea. I told him to get in bed and gave him the laptop.

playtime

Pinterest is way to addictive. That is where you will find me at 3 in the morning with the little cub in my lap drinking boob juice and me logged on to pinterest in awe. There is always something new to find or try out. I LOVE it. Lately my addiction has me apsiring to start weekend projects and taking second glances as I pass the trashcan. Scoping out the goods. Recently, I was inspired by a post online when I saw two perfectly great looking chairs that needed a little loving. I plan to sand them down and find some pretty fabric to make them pop. Before and after Pictures are in the near future.

Today the little cub and I did a little sensory play. I got the idea from Taylor over at More Than ABC's and 123's.I don't know when she posted it but at the time of her post her little one was the same age as my little cub. Any whoo she put rice in a container and allow her daughter to play. I pretty much did the same thing except I learned a few things about this play time:

  • While the rice is too small for my 4 month old to pick up that will not stop him from flinging rice all over my living room floor.
  • I probably should have let him play in the rice in a bigger container. I had a cooking container that I havent used and it seemed like that would work.

I loved playing with him. We listened to Veggietales and I gave him a few plastic bowls and wooden spoons. I think he had a good time.

Date Nite!

The hubby and I went out. I put on heels. He wore too much really nice smelling cologne. We took the little lion cub over our good friend's house while we took a night on the town. We both agreed that we wanted to do something that we had  not done in a while. So we went to the movies. Of course I wanted to see a chick flick and he wanted to see the new Batman movie. I was just happy to be out of the house.  I though the movie was really great. I loved Christian Bale. What an amazing actor. Plus he is good lucking. We were going to go sit at Starbucks and chat but we missed our little cub.

New Taste,Family Times, Grumpy White Shirts

The little lion cub and I have been swimming. I can hardly believe that he is already four months old. He is growing so fast. And he loves loves loves being in water. Just like his mother.  Last Sunday we went over to this great little restaurant in James Island called The Three Little Birds. Omg the food was tasty. I ordered a carrot pear juice and allow the little cub to taste a teeny tiny little bit from my straw. And he shriek with joy. The whole restaurant smiled and laughed. He couldn't get enough of the orange goodness. He had it all over his face and clothes. Maybe he was just happy to get something other than his Mummy's milk. DH and I chatted and realised two things: 1. We are going to have to start feeding him solid foods. 2. And I have to stop wearing white shirts. lol. It was also covered in the orange goodness.

My DH is back to working midshift which throws us off a little. I personally think that every one is less grumpy with a little sunshine in their lives. So I really don't like when he goes back to working the afternoons or nights. (I think I am more grumpy but he would never say that, right? ) We all tend to stay up later and sleep in more. Which would be great but I feel extra tired. Maybe its time dor extra vitamins.

Its the School Spirit Throw Crochet Pattern. This weekend i need to go pick up some pretty yarn so i can play catch.

GRANNY A DAY 2012

While my lion cub was napping, I thought it would be a good time to look for a new project on Ravelry. I was in the group section and stumbled on Granny a day 2012. I am late getting started considering that its July!  OMG better get started. I won't post every day probably just once a week.

Until next time,

Poor Camera

I love taking photos. I think they are the best way to save a memory. Although my camera doesn't think the same. I have gone through 3 cameras this year. I can not get them working. I guess I need more practice. This new but old camera was given to me by a friend 4 years ago for Christmas. I had left it at my Mom's house, When I went to visit her over the holidayand she gave it back to me. My DH says the camera doesn't save the pictures on to the sd drive. I think its something with computer's slot for the sd drive. tomato tomoto

So I joined a few things on Ravelry. I'm excited. I like feeling like I am apart of something. I am doing granny square a day 2012 and  the neat ripple from Attic24. So I am kind of late starting the  granny square a day. So to try to play catch up I think I will do two squares a day. Lucy's neat ripple pattern is beautiful. All of her creations are really awesome. I have been subscribed to her site for some time now. So I am uber excited to be starting one of her blanket patterns.

As soon as I figure out the camera I will load pictures.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

Happy Independence's day! My little family spent the fourth at Riverfront Park. It was our first time going  and boy was it crowded. It felt like every one in the city was at the park. It was such a pretty day. And the fire works were awesome. My little Lion loved the lights. It wasn't the first time he saw them. The friday before NWS had a family day and he saw them for the first time. I have to say, it was pure joy watching his excitement. He was in total awe of the lights. I think my DH had a good time too. We shared the day with our good friend Anya and her children. I hope to have many more good times.

Love and happiness
Chance

PS. I'LL POST PICTURES LATER
