Thift Store Thursday

Have I ever shared with you my love of thrift store finds? It started when I was about 9 my Mum would take me to a thrift store not to be cheap but because we were broke. And some  people have really nice stuff that they just don't want any more. And lucky us for coming across it. I remember always buying a book or two or three... Why not they were only a quarter. Seriously. Awesome. And thats how my love of reading began.

When I got married. I wanted funiture and what better place to go purchase than at the Goodwill. Everything in my house is secondhand but no one would no the difference because people give away nice trash. Things that need just a little tender loving care.

My second favorite thing to search for are beauty bags. And while I dont wear make up any more I love to scord some discounted bath and body works. I picked up a bag of goodies a few weeks ago Right before Christmas. I paid $3.99.

Last week I went to the thrift store and scored this awesome bag of smell good for $2.99.

Weight- in - Wednesday

Today's weigh in was 188 lbs. 2 lbs down thats good! I know I need to step my exerise regiment. i've just been speed walking with Max in the morning while the lioncub sleeps in his stroller. But I like to take baby steps.

The other day I was on facebook and came across this post from a site called The Black Girl's Guide to Weight Loss. The blogger has started a weight loss boot camp that I am pretty excited to start. The first week you're supposed to drink a cup a water ib tge hour every hour while awake. So I will post my results later in the week.

3/52 weeks of happy

This week I started pretty well. I started back  exercising and I felt awesome. So awesome that I ran a little

Later in the week my friends and I walked a small path near our homes. It was very peaceful. God made this beautiful world. Im so thankful that I get to be a part of it to see its beauty.

By far the happiest part of my week happened on Sabbath and of course involved my little lion cub. One of  his adoptive grandmothers at the church bought him this cute blue suit for Christmas. And he looks amazing! Everything I put on him he looks great in.  He's a good looking kid.

3. My last semester in school started. yea! Better get my resume updated

 

4. a good cup of warm tea and cozy blankets when your sick.

Thats how much I weighed on, the first day of the year. The church is having a biggest loser contest and me and 3 of my buddies signed up. The kick off date was yesterday Jan 19 and I actually weighed in at 185 lbs so Im already on a good start. I will probably post weigh-in on Wednesday so stay tune for my updates

Manic Monday Moods

Relationships are by fast the most complicated aspect of life. Giving yourself freely to a person is not an easy task. Having to take in account someone elses feelings and sometimes putting yours aside to avoid conflit makes even the sweet iest person on earth a little flustered.

But isnt it great how we have God on our side. He has our back. And with Him we can always do whats right.

Lord help us to not have a manic Monday as we rush to get our day and work we started. God please give us a loving heart. We thank you for wanting to see that we do good deeds to others. And we want to please you. Amen.

its been a long time.

Its been a long minute since the last post. My life has been filled with great beautiful moments. And some less unhappy ones. All and all life has been good.
Well as you know I had my beautiful baby boy.
 Enrolled back into school.
 Got a part time job.
All while still trying to crochet.
I recently started attending church again. OMG I feel so much better for it. I know in my heart that I had to put God first in order for the rest of my life to fall into order. I have never been happier. The lion cub was also dedicated to the church and I was baptized.  Pictures are coming soon.
I realise that there are a lot of areas in my life I need to work on. Things are not going to be fixed over night but I know that in time things will get better.

I love watching the lion cub grow.
I think he is going to walk before Christmas. That would be the most awesome Christmas gift ever.
He is so amazingly smart. Yesterday he was drinking out of my cup. I caught drinking water. I got to get better at having the camera ready for these moments.
